So recently it came to @Backalley and myself to create an in depth invention guide , as people have a lot of questions so here is a guide for those who are still stuck on this topic What is Invention? Invention is a skill which requires you to disassemble items and obtain components to create new and improved items. Invention is a late game skill which was used to also help the economy , it has removed a lot of cash and items out of the economy (which of course has helped out the server). How to start off To start off with invention use the command ::invent , or ::invention , Once you teleport here you will want to trade "Joe Gatto" . Once you trade this person you are going to want to purchase the "oldak's device" . This is what is used to disassemble items . Once you have your device , you're going to want to buy some rune items / berserker helmets and gather 35k generic components (we'll talk about these later ) and a molten glass. Once achieved use your components on the molten glass which gives you an "experimental sphere" repeat this method until you achieve 30 invention. How to obtain these schematics There are 2 ways to obtain schematics , 1) You can purchase them from "oldak's shop" these schematics range from 25m up to 350m. The other way to get them is with the "experimental sphere" you previously made teleport you to experiments these drop : Coins , caskets , hard clues , rune items , berserker helms , mystic tops , dragon items , death runes , summer pies , experimental sphere and most importantly PAPER SCRAPS. Paper Scraps are used for obtaining the schematics , once you receive a total of 100 paper scraps you click on the scraps to get a random schematic. Best things to pick up are the following : Paper scraps , caskets , coins , clues , all items to disassemble , death runes , summer pies *optional* , experimental spheres What are the best schematics to keep? The best schematics to keep are the following : LUCKY AMULET , RING OF FORTUNE , AUGMENTOR / SIPHON , ENCHANTED LOG / BAR , LUCK OF THE PUGS , IMBUED EYE. The following are some optional keeps : GARDEN PIE , AMETHYST AMMO , OVERLOADS . There are also some others which are all transmute schematics : CREST TRANSMUTE , BARROWS TRANSMUTE , BLUDGEON TRANSMUTE, TOTEM TRANSMUTE. Schematic Component list Before we start off , a component is what you get when you disassemble your items ( i'll have a link to the component list guide ) There are 8 types of components these are : Organic , Generic , spiritual , Dark , Corrupt , Lucky , Uber and finally rare. *TIP : THE NUMBER IN THE BRACKET IS TO SHOW WHAT LEVEL YOU NEED FOR THAT SCHEMATIC* To check how many and what components you need , right click and go on examine on the schematic . List : - Garden Pie, 10m (1) - Summer pie and 1,000 organic components - Overload (10) 25M - Aggression Potion and 3,500 organic components (Aggression pot = Super prayer potion 4 + muddy rock) - Slurp Juice (15) 30M - Empty Cup , 5,000 Organic Components and 1,000 Uber Components - Magic Bean (20) 40M - Small pouch , 1,000,000 generic components and 100,000 organic components - Amethyst Ammo (30) 50M - 100 Rune Arrow / Bolts and 100,000 generic components and amethyst - Enchanted Log (30) 60M - 100 Magic Logs , 350,000 spiritual components and 50,000 organic components - Enchanted Bar (30) 60M - 100 Rune Bars , 350,000 Spiritual components and 50,000 organic components - Enchanted Soul (35) 65M - King Black Dragon / Abyssal Head / Kalphite Queen head and 100,000 spiritual components - Lucky Amulet (45) 150M - Rabbit's foot ( Get from hunter ) , 1,500,000 lucky components and Amulet of fury - Ring Of Fortune (50) 200M - Onyx ring and 2,500,000 lucky components - Luck Of The Pugs (50) 250M - Ring Of Fortune , 5,000,000 Lucky components , 500,000 rare components and 500,000 uber components - Totem Transmute (60) 75M - Dark Totem Piece ( Top , Middle or Bottom ) and 25,000 dark components - Bludgeon Transmute (60) 75M - Bludgeon Piece ( Axon , claw or Spine ) , 100,000 dark components - Barrows Transmute (65) 75M - Barrows Gloves and 30,000 corrupt components - Death Darts (70) 100M - 250 dragon darts , 25,000 rare components and 250,000 corrupt components - Crest Transmute (75) 150M - Crest Piece (1 , 2 or 3) , 50,000 rare components - Augmentor (80) 200M - Cog (Joe Gatto) , 100,000 corrupt components and 75,000 uber components - Siphon (80) 200M - Metal Sheet (Joe Gatto) , 75,000 dark components and 35,000 uber components - Dissolver (80) 200M - Pipe (Joe Gatto) , 75,000 rare component and 175,000 - Imbued Eye (90) 350M - Elf's head (Buy from Joe Gatto ) , 1,000,000 Spiritual components and 250,000 uber components How to get 1-99 Invention Guide 1-30 - Start off by disassembling your rune items and berserker helmets to make 35,000 generic components and buy some molten glass . Your going to make "Experimental sphere's like we mention in "how to start off". You get 2,500 invention experience each one you make , therefor in total to get to 30 you're going to need to make a total of 6 teleports . 30-80 - Once level 30 is achieved you're going to want to do is obtain a "enchanted log" schematic and start to make these enchanted logs / Bars . These both give a huge amount of experience ( 525k each use for log and bar ) . You get 150,000 experience for each one you make , therefor you will need the following supplies for 30-80 : 1400 Magic Logs , 4,900,000 spiritual components and 700,000 Organic components . Experiments and zulrah are good ways to obtain Magic Logs. 80-99 - Once you have reached level 80 you are almost there ! You are going to purchase the Augmentor Schematic and you are going to need to get 3 abyssal whips and augment them both. You'll need to get 3 cogs , 300,000 corrupt components and 225,000 uber components . Once your weapon is augmented all you need to do is go and boss / kill monsters to level up your whip , the max level is 6 and is 1,500,000 experience . Once you reach level 6 you will get a notification , and you use you "oldak's device" on the augmented whip and boom you get a HUGE! experience drop of 3,500,000. Once you have repeated this three times you have achieved your 99 invention ! Alching Schematics When you combine 100 paper scraps you may get a schematic you don't want to keep , so what you can do is high alchemy spell on the schematic for some cash . Some schematics give Half the schematic price others give full money back - I'm not sure on which ones give full and half . This also will help you get your needed schematics , if you get one you don't need you can alch it and buy the one you do need . Why Should you do Invention? Invention brings a lot of perks to the game for example - Overloads , Best food Source ( Garden pies ) , Drop rate increase items ( Lucky amulet , Lucky torture / Anguish , Ring of fortune , Luck of the pugs ) The lucky torture and Anguish do not need a schematic just need the amulet of torture / Anguish , 2,500,000 lucky components and 15,000 uber components . Overloads are extremely good because they are essentially an "everything potion" . By this I mean it boosts all you combat stats , it acts as an anti fire too ! Invention also helps you create the most powerful ammunition in game ! The amethyst ammo is used for the "Twisted Bow" and can hit extremely high . Finally, Invention is a requirement for max cape , if you don't have 99 Invention you cannot purchase the max cape ( One of the most useful capes in revival ) Also we have a Invention Skill Cape Perk which is while worn , the Components for making Garden Pies and Amethyst Ammo is reduced by 25% ! The most easiest way to obtain these schematics is to follow ::TOPIC 400. @Jamian Made this site to show the most effective way to get components and what items give what components. Hello, today we're having a small update, fixing minor issues. regarding new boss: ~ Dusk no longer noclips out of the map. ~ After 5 killcount, you no longer receive messages regarding the conversation between Dusk and Dawn. ~ Fixed an issue, where you still get hit by Dusk's magic even if there is no 3 minions. ~ there is a 10 second protection of Dusk's magic special attack after you get hit by one. ~ Granite hammer no longer has unlimited special attack. ________ ~ You can disassemble Augmented items now normally. ~ You can no longer spawn multiple bosses. "let me know if any still work". ~ Minor bug fixes. ~Darklight.

Too many money sinks in-game. The past two major updates have BOTH been HUGE money sinks. (Invention & Duel arena) Too many money sinks with a community population such as ours has negative implications upon the economy. (Pm me in-game for further explanation) Players are already 100% avoiding the "10% money sink per stake" by using MMs. Keep the 250m Duel arena buy-in, remove the 10% "commission" per stake. Perhaps in the future, lets add some updates without "Money Sinks" being involved.

Wildy slayer & wildy slayer shop: an upgrade for the 'reset slayer form' from the normal slayer shop, does everything that the slayer form do but instead of the second option 'boss tasks' it's 'previous task'. ardougne cloak 1: gives you perks in wilderness - use on wildy slayer master to upgrade better or more perks. picklock: lets you thieve from rogues chest possible rewards ;wildy special tasks (need to kill bosses in wilderness 25 wildy slay points from the task) etc Mystery box, revenant teleports, signets for gwd2 bosses Wildy suggestion: as you might know, cosmic runes are useless but what if you added air orbs into the game.. you'd be able to sell the air orbs for 5k ea in the fez's shop or craft air battlestaves for crafting xp, it would help new players to make starting money and maybe a pk hotspot. Rogue's chest: only way to open it is with the picklocks (from slayer shop). Possible rewards noted welfare gear (able to oldak), food, pots, sinister keys(rare or uncommon) rogues pieces NOTE: picklock should have a chance to break Rogue's pieces should give you a bonus but only at rogues chests exemple: more chance to hit the rare table or less chance to break the picklock

jamian, how can you release something like loot balloons, and not give out the locs in a forum post? at the moment, very very very few people know all the locations. that, in and of itself is not the issue. the issue is that no one has the ability to even hunt them down, because these people guard these locations and rush to them to get the balloons themselves. this is causing alot of fighting. from helpers saying they will only sell the locs to mods refusing to even give a hint AFTER they have found the balloon. i suggest either a full removal, or a forums post giving hints to every single location. this is the only fair way to go about this situation. as i write this, helper regal is offering to give a single balloon loc to the next person who gets a zulrah drop. he is making exclusions of people he doesnt like at that moment. namely: 3 days notice and jaxy please, reconsider releasing an update that is like that without giving locs. it causes wayyyy too much fighting. seriously, it is a waste of time at this point.

Sorry to get your hopes up.... an actual Game Update (Dragon Slayer II) is coming very soon. There are no new staff members but we've decided to do some shuffling around. This server is growing and we felt like it was the perfect time to do this, I feel we need to be more organized moving forward. With that being said the following changes have been made. Matt is moving from Server Manager to Adviser. Smoke is moving from Community Manager to Server Manager. D is moving from Admin to Community Manager. Josh will now handle Punishments and Appeals. Ethan has been demoted. He was acting very childish and threw a temper tantrum, refused to communicate with the rest of the staff. We have a 0 tolerance policy for this kind of behavior.... In case you're unfamiliar with those roles: * Adviser is basically the number 2 rank, Matt will be responsible for everyone below him, he manages our forums, advises us on any important decisions that need to be made. An Adviser works from behind the scenes, you might not see them much. * Server Manager does pretty much what the title says it does, they manage the server, their main focus is to monitor the staff team and make any additions/subtractions they see as fit (This is the person to suck up to if you want a staff spot), they also focus on how the server is perceived by both the players and potential players, if there are any technical * Community Manager works hand in hand with the Server Manager, they're responsible for you guys and making sure the game is enjoyable and playable. The CMM focuses more on the community as the name would imply, they're responsible for hosting events, giveaways, all of that fun stuff, making sure the players are having a good time. Another task that is important to this job is keeping the players in the loop, if players have questions or need any kind of support, the CMM is responsible for either helping themselves or sending them the right direction. * Punishments and Appeals, so this isnt an official rank or anything like that, this is a more specific job that we've normally assigned to 1 person. Josh will be in charge of making sure the game isnt being ruined by any poor sports, he'll handle appeals and make sure that every punishment is just and correct. I don't know if you guys know this but we do keep logs of punishments.. we've just kind of lacked in the area of consistency with our punishments, thus the reason for this role. This is pretty much just a basic boss guide on what to pray/protect, the difficulty and what style I use vs each of them. very easy = no damage taken at all, semi afk bosses with prayer easy = some damage taken but not much attention needed medium = semi decent gear recommended, lower kills per trip hard = attention required, fewer kills per trip Bandos (medium) - Pet? (yes) - I use melee. Pray melee whilst killing the boss, pray switch the minions starting with the mager - use ecu key to save getting kc & minions are worth killing for drops. Barrows (easy) Pet? (no) I use melee. Pray melee vs torags, verac, dharoks, guthans, range vs karils, mage vs ahrim - requires spade, barrows items from chest are very common. Chaos Elemental (easy) - Pet? (yes) - I use range. Pray mage - located in 50 wild, can teleport out using max cape teleports - teleports you around and removes your weapon. Demonic Gorillas (med) - Pet? (no) - I use range. Pray mage - drops zenyte shard which are highly sought after - realistically they're easy/med but they can hit decently so you should pay attention. Giant Mole (very easy) - Pet? (yes) - I use melee. Pray melee - low hp dharoks is probably the best option vs these as you don't take damage - use rock cake (gen store) to get your hp down. King Black Dragon (very easy) - Pet? (yes) - I use melee. Pray melee & use antifires with anti dragon shield, make sure you're constantly antifired and you won't take damage. Vet'ion (hard) - Pet? (yes) - I use range. Pray mage - spawns 4 level 240 melee minions and regenerates health fully halfway through kill - currently isn't worth killing unless it gets nerfed Venenatis (easy) - Pet? (yes) - I use range. Pray mage - hits low amounts through mage prayer and also range (up to about 8 damage) - easy to camp Zulrah (medium) - Pet? (yes) - I use range. Pray range to begin with, change depending on the colour - green = range, blue = mage, orange = melee - wear ring of recoil/suffering to kill snakelings. Will update overtime...

This is always the worse part, remember all the good times u had with him and keep him comfortable. The community is always here for you when you need us.

Could change it to like a donation tent or offer the donations to a npc or something. I just said donation well so as to not confuse people. Could take the whirlpool from ancient cavern change the colors of it and throw it somewhere in the middle of a city and call it the donation pool haha

Introduction: Most people know the rune bar spot to be a donor only ore vein that allows you to get a rune bar every time you mine (hence the name) but there is a way to go around this without having donor. Minimum Requirements: - explorers backpack (optional) - rune pickaxe/dragon pickaxe How to get there: -Either run to mudskipper points (south of home) or teleport to it using explorers backpack. - Once there climb down the trap door. - Start running east, soon you will see the skeletal wyvern cave and right next to it will be the rune bar mining spot. - Once filling up your inventory teleport home and repeat the process. Benefits: - Ability to mine rune bars without needing donor. - Access to a good source of smithing exp or organic components early on. (good for iron man/ultimate iron) - Don't have to mine coal and rune to create rune bars.

HIDDEN BONUSES SHOULD BE FIXED. Some clearly work such as occult, but most dont. Slayer helm is debatable but im almost sure that the melee bonus doesnt work atleast. Void is shite and that would be so useful and neat if fixed. Helps with pking and pvming in wildy and also with new players and ironmans and would make the box of untradeables not shit anymore. Also obby set bonus should work so that the helm wasnt utter garbage. Maybe add the stones for the new best gloves to dusk so it becomes more active. Raid prayers would be a nice touch. Unique items from clues after completing certain amount of each Achievement diary items with useful bonuses for skilling etc This may be becoming annoying already but fixing combat system for pvp would be a dream. We want the duel arena without the bullshit that comes with it, why not be a proper server? People want to gamble because there is no reason to play anymore, it's boring as fuck, and the updates are trash. Why settle for less on a server when theres others that strive for greatness without the stupidity? Player base barely has 20 active players now. Wonder why!
